Liam is a four-year-old boy who is bravely battling cancer.

Diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma when he was just 2, Liam has endured chemo, radiation, stem cell transplants, major surgeries, and a relapse with a brain tumor — all while battling chronic kidney disease and severe hearing loss. Yet through it all, Liam’s strength and courage continue to shine. He loves dinosaurs, animals, and toy swords and guns.

Please let Liam know he is in your thoughts…

What is Neuroblastoma?

According to the American Cancer Society: Neuroblastoma is a rare cancer that most often affects young children. It develops from immature nerve cells, typically starting in the adrenal glands above the kidneys, but it can also occur in the chest, abdomen, spine, or neck. Neuroblastoma can spread quickly and is often diagnosed at an advanced stage.

Treatment may include chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, stem cell transplants, and immunotherapy — depending on the stage and risk level. Despite its challenges, many children face it with remarkable strength and resilience.

“My son Chris was facing relapse of his hodgkin’s lymphoma. At 14 he was scared and worried. Some one said I should write to Love Transfusion for help getting the support he needed while waiting. And over the weekend before his surgery the outpouring of support and prayers was almost overwhelming. And it also helped us connect with others that have faced what we were facing! We cannot express our thanks and gratitude enough for Love Transfusions! And can’t wait to see what’s to come! Thank you from our family and the entire Chris’s Crew!”

Liam's Journey Updates

August 16th, 2025 by Kevin Lengkeek, Page administrator

Liam’s latest scans showed the cancer has spread extensively — completely surrounding the outer layer of his brain and throughout his spinal column. Sadly, further treatment is no longer an option. The plan is to bring him home on hospice to spend precious time making memories with his family. Doctors have told his parents time is very limited. Please keep Liam and his loved ones in your prayers during this heartbreaking time.
