7 year old Remy is battling a brain tumor.
In 2020, Remy was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called Bilateral Optic Glioma, affecting both of her eyes. She recently completed a grueling 10-week chemotherapy induction and is now receiving monthly treatments as part of a maintenance plan. Through every challenge, Remy’s joyful spirit continues to shine. She’s the youngest of six siblings and a true animal lover. She finds comfort and joy in coloring, painting, and playing with sensory toys.

What is an Optic Glioma?
According to the American Cancer Society: Optic pathway gliomas are slow-growing brain tumors that develop in or around the optic nerves, which carry messages from the eyes to the brain. They are most often found in children and may affect one or both optic nerves. Symptoms can include vision loss, eye bulging, or hormonal changes depending on the tumor’s location.
Treatment usually involves chemotherapy, though radiation or surgery may also be used in certain cases to manage symptoms or tumor growth.
